Privacy Policy

Overview
Prism is a product built by Xnode. Prism syncs accounting data from Tally on your desktop to Firebase, so it can be securely accessed from your phone. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Information we collect
We only collect what Prism needs to function, and nothing beyond what you provide, permit, or take an action to share.
Account
- Your name and email address, used to sign in and identify your account.
From the desktop agent
- Up to 2 years of accounting data from Tally, for the single company you set up for sync.
- Basic information about the device the agent is installed on, needed to keep the sync service running reliably.
From the mobile app
- Photos or documents you choose to upload.
- Data you manually enter into the app.
- Any other information you choose to provide — nothing here is collected unless you take an action to share it or grant permission for it.
How we use your information
Data is used solely to provide Prism's sync service: authenticating your account, keeping your accounting data up to date, and letting you view it from your phone. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How your data is stored
Your data is stored using Firebase, with access scoped to your account:
- Accounting data synced from Tally is stored in Firebase Cloud Storage.
- Photos and documents you upload are currently also stored in Firebase Storage. We plan to move this to a separate, dedicated storage service once end-to-end encryption for these files is in place.
- Account details and other information are stored in our Firestore database.
Data is encrypted in transit. At rest, data is currently compressed but not yet encrypted; we are actively working on adding encryption at rest, and this policy will be updated once that rolls out. Access to the sync agent on your desktop is limited to your local user account.
Data sharing
We do not share your data with third parties, except with service providers (such as Firebase) that help us operate the service, or where required by law.
Your choices
You can stop syncing at any time by uninstalling Prism from your desktop. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, as encryption and storage improvements described above roll out. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
